'I've had this constant threat for 10 years': Bristol Palin talks about her longtime stalker who 'broke into her former husband's home with a sledgehammer and even threatened to KILL him'

Bristol Palin revealed chilling details of her longtime stalker who allegedly burgled her ex-husband's home back in August.

In the dramatic new episode of Teen Mom OG on Monday, Palin claimed that Shawn Christy had been terrorizing her family for a decade.

Christy was arrested in September, after months on the run, for ransacking Palin's former husband Dakota Meyer's home in Kentucky and stealing his SUV. The burglary came just a day after Meyer was hospitalized for an anxiety attack that came as a result of Palin announcing their divorce was final.

He also reportedly threatened to kill Meyer, and to shoot President Trump.

On the reality show Monday, Palin described how she'd been affected by her stalker. 

While showing off her new Texas home on FaceTime with her little sister, Piper, she revealed: 'So last night was my first night in the house, and I got a text message pretty late from Dakota saying that his house had got broken into. His Kentucky house... I swear to God, it was the stalker.'

The 28-year-old mother-of-three said the stalking incidents made it difficult for her to sleep. 

She told her sister: 'I get maybe four hours of sleep as it is... I've had this constant threat for 10 years.'  

Her sister responded: 'The guy’s on the freakin’ loose... that is so scary.' 

Palin revealed that Christy has been following and threatening her family since her mother, Sarah Palin, ran for vice president. 

The Palins were forced to take out a protection order against him as a result. 

'He's been in and out of jail, but recently, he's been on the run from the law,' Palin added.

The Life's a Tripp star also spoke with her distressed ex-husband on FaceTime, and asked about how is he doing since the scare.

Meyer said: I've been dealing with US Marshals all night last night... the FBI, and the Secret Service got involved today. Now, I can only control protecting the kids.'

She replied: 'I've lived in this kind of fear... I know that this is your first taste of this kind of fear.'

He added in the call: 'I'm not worried about my fear or your fear... right now, I'm worried about our kids.'

Surveillance footage showed the stalker use a sledgehammer to enter the home, where Meyer's younger brother had also been living, through a back window.

When he got inside, he stole food from the refrigerator, and took the keys to a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee which he fled in afterward.

Police say Christy threatened to kill Meyer and also 'put a bullet' in President Trump's head.   

Christy was arrested last month in Ohio following a months-long manhunt. He failed to show up to a court appearance for an assault case back in June.

On the same day Meyer suffered a panic attack, Palin was celebrating buying her sixth home home

Trooper Nicholas Hale previously told Radar that Christy, of McAdoo, Pennsylvania, was likely hoping to come face-to-face with Meyer at the home.

The former Marine, who shared a photo of a news story about the break-in at his home on Instagram, said he wished he had been there.

'I wasn't home… unfortunately,' he wrote at the time, appealing for anyone who knew anything to come forward.

The day prior, Meyer shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed with the caption 'pit stop before work' on his Instagram story.

He added the hashtag: '#anxietyisreal.'

The Iraq veteran, who is second-youngest living Medal of Honor recipient, has previously talked about his struggles with anxiety and suicidal thoughts after the military. 

Palin has been having a much happier time. 

She posted a picture on her Instagram story the day of Meyer's anxiety attack of her new house keys on the counter, with the caption: 'My 6th home purchase (staying in this one over a year I swear!)'

The 27-year-old mother-of-three, who has two daughters with Meyer, also posted a smiling picture of herself holding her kids in the kitchen of their new home.

Palin has moved around a lot over the past few years.

In February this year, she moved from Alaska, where she had been spending time with her family following the announcement of their divorce, back to Texas.

She and Meyer first moved to Austin in early 2017 as way to 'meet in the middle' between Alaska and Mayer's home state of Kentucky to raise their family. 

Palin revealed that she and Meyer divorced, five months after DailyMail.com first broke the new that Meyer had filed papers to terminate their marriage in Travis County District Court.

During an Instagram Q&A, a fan asked: 'Are you dating,' to which Palin replied: 'freshly divorced & single forever lezzbereal (I am not ready to date).'

The oldest of Sarah Palin's three daughters later said that she does not see herself walking down the aisle again at this time, while noting that the number one question people ask her is whether or not she is married.

Meyer followed her Q&A with his own, where he revealed that he was 'happily divorced' and had no plans to ever marry again.  

The 30-year-old also hinted that Palin was to blame for their split.

When asked by one follower for advice about going through a divorce, Meyer said: 'Know when enough is enough'.

'Take it one day at a time and focus on you. Everything is just a moment in time. You can try everything and give the person all you have and if they don't choose to see good in you it's out of your control,' he said.

One follower asked bluntly why Meyer and Palin had divorced, to which he said: 'She wasn't happy with me so it's for the best.' 

When asked if he would one day remarry, Meyer said bluntly: 'Hell no.' 

Teen Mom producers announced in July that Palin had joined the case of the popular reality series. She has two daughter Sailor and Atlee Bay with Meyer, as well as son Tripp from her relationship with fiancee Levi Johnston
