According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred southeast of East End, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands today, May 5, 2024, at 11:15 am.
Hazard Management Cayman Islands also reported the event and noted no tsunami threat or damage.
