Former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin said that she's been a victim of sexual harassment at the workplace because her co-workers know she carries a weapon.
'I think a whole lot of people know I'm probably packing so I don't think there's a whole lot of people who would necessarily mess with me,' Palin said during an interview with MSNBC on Thursday.
'I don't mean to be lighthearted, this is a serious issue,' Palin continued, adding that she unequivocal condemns sexual harassment, an issue that has dominated the national conversation in recent weeks.

'It really stinks for women in the workplace that for too long, men have thought they can get away with that old-school thinking that it's okay to belittle and harass women.'
The former Vice Presidential candidate spoke to MSNBC before a meeting with Republican Kentucky Senator Rand Paul on Capital Hill.
Palin's comments came just hours after Senator Al Franken (D-MN) was accused of sexual misconduct by KABC radio personality Leeann Tweeden, who accused the lawmaker of groping her while the two were on a USO tour in 2006.

Franken expressed his 'sincerest apologies to Leeann.'
The former Saturday Night Live writer is the first sitting US senator to be accused of sexual harassment, according to The Hill.
But Franken is not the only politician to come under recent scrutiny for alleged sexual impropriety.
Embattled Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore last week was accused by The Washington Post of making inappropriate sexual contact with teenage girls, including a 14-year-old girl, back in the 70s and 80s..
'It's not a partisan issue,' Palin commented. 'When we see this happening today, I think it leads to a lot of questions about what standards are going to be applied to whom.'
Palin warned, however, that as allegations continue to mount, the potential for innocent individuals to be caught in the mix rises.
